As part of a long-term sponsorship arrangement supporting its ground logistics, Dawsongroup bus and coach is pleased to have provided a Ford Tourneo and a Ford Ranger Wildtrak to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF), helping to support the organisation’s day-to-day logistical requirements.
The RAF BBMF maintains priceless artefacts of our national heritage in airworthy condition to commemorate those who have fallen in the service of this country. The BBMF also serves to promote today’s Royal Air Force and inspire future generations.
This arrangement reflects Dawsongroup’s commitment to the UK defence sector by providing flexible fleet solutions that meet the unique requirements of every customer. By working closely with the BBMF, our team has delivered vehicles that offer comfort, reliability and practicality.
Paul Sainthouse, Managing Director of Dawsongroup bus and coach, commented:
“Dawsongroup has been a long-term partner of the nation’s defence logistics sector, so it was only natural that, when the opportunity arose to give something back in recognition of our Armed Forces, those who have sacrificed everything in the name of our freedom, and an important part of our aviation heritage, we were genuinely delighted to get involved.
“We are living in unpredictable times, so our wider alliance with the Ministry of Defence has never been more important. I hope this comparatively modest gesture will help support the fantastic work that the BBMF does.”

The vehicles were officially handed over at the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s base. Following the handover, the team were fortunate enough to enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the historic hangar, getting up close to the BBMF’s iconic aircraft and gaining a fascinating insight into the engineering, maintenance and dedication involved in preserving these priceless pieces of British aviation history.
