We are pleased to have recently supplied an Alexander Dennis E400 to Highland Council.
This new addition to the fleet will support their day-to-day operations across the region, offering a reliable, practical vehicle designed for the public sector.
Following successful fuel trials, the E400 is now operating on Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) — a renewable diesel alternative produced from waste and residual vegetable oils. This represents a significant step towards reducing carbon emissions and improving overall environmental performance without compromising on vehicle capability.
By adopting HVO, Highland Council can now reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional diesel, contribute to improving air quality across the communities it serves and move closer to its wider sustainability and net zero targets.
We are happy to support Highland Council in embracing cleaner fuel solutions and future-proofing their fleet. This project demonstrates how practical changes, such as alternative fuels, can make an immediate and meaningful impact.
