What was your first job?
I kicked off my career in a chemical plant that developed E numbers and food colourings—properly fascinating stuff and a fizz of early inspiration.
When did you join DGBC?
November 2005. What an eye-opening, world-opening introduction. Totally set the tone for how I see things today within our industry.
What was your first job at DGBC?
Accessible Vehicle Area Sales Manager, covering the South from Northamptonshire down to the sunny south coast. Lots of miles, lots of momentum, lots to learn.
What’s your current job and what does it involve?
Accessible Vehicle Business Development Manager, proudly national. As the company grows, we’ll set aside a dedicated area to boost focus and results.
What’s been the highlight of your time at DGBC?
Launching a new product line, non-emergency ambulances, and watching it soar into an essential pillar of DGBC’s portfolio. Exciting, impactful, and genuinely game-changing, as it gave us access to a diverse client base.

Who or what has been the main influence in your career?
My amazing parents and my children. As the youngest of nine, I learned to be heard and to dream big. I’ve carried that energy into every step, and it fills me with pride to see my kids chasing their own ambitious goals with the same drive and determination.
What significant changes have you seen in the business during your time at DGBC?
So many shifts, but the standout is the evolving perception from clients. Hearing great feedback, plus referrals and recommendations, makes me beam with pride to be part of the Dawsongroup family. Delighted to be a part of this positive shift.
What career advice would you give to your younger self?
Never give up, keep striving to be the best version of you. You’ve got what it takes to earn respect from peers, colleagues, and clients alike.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m a keen golfer, and although a recent accident paused my swing, I’m buzzing to get back to where I was with my game. I’m a devoted Arsenal fan and watch them whenever I can. I love crafting wooden furniture (pieces proudly on display around my home), and I’m hooked on Formula 1—loved the Spanish and Chinese Grands Prix and craving more.
Which of your personality traits are you most proud of?
Never giving up. I’m relentlessly determined to finish what I start.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself
I’m oddly afraid of loose buttons—one stray shirt button on a table can send a shiver down my spine. Anyone that has heard me at a karaoke will testify – I am totally tone deaf!
Do you live by any piece of advice or motto?
Absolutely. If you don’t ask, you don’t get! I ask for everything and surprisingly…
What’s on your bucket list?
I’ve ticked off some of the world’s wonders, like the Great Wall of China, and I can’t wait to see them all. I’m aiming to complete every Grand Prix circuit too—I’ve got 22 of 24 still to go, and I’m chasing the full set with gusto.
